Reston, VA – Soothing blues and greens come to life in abstract paintings by Salima Fellah in the Jo Ann Rose Gallery this February. “View From Above” runs from February 1 to March 1, 2010.
Join Salima during her opening reception on Sunday, February 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Gallery.Salima’s art is echoed in the swirling patterns, textures, and depths of her fluid abstracts. She says when painting, she has a “feeling of hovering – like floating above the work” creating the impression of a “View From Above”. She moves fast and improvises to capture the flow of colors that are constantly moving. Read More

ALGERIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION
OF GREATER WASHINGTON

Washington, DC
February 2nd, 2010

Dear Friends,

I would like to update you on the new case that our Dear Dr. Azzedine Stambouli in collaboration with his network of Medical Experts in the USA, the Algerian baby Abderrahmane, three months old with the same disease (Spina Bifida) as Mounib, Ayoub and Khadidja, has been accepted to The Medical College Center in Augusta - Georgia for treatment. He and his parents arrived on January 16th to Atlanta, Georgia and are residing at the Ronald Mc Donald House. Professor Choudhri performed four successful surgeries since January 20th. Abderrahmane is recovering well and will be out of the hospital in the next three or four days. During the month of February, he will have follow-ups with Dr. Choudhri.

I want to take this opportunity and on behalf of the AAAGW community to thank:

  • The Medical College of Georgia,
  • Professor Haroon F. Choudhri,
  • Mr. Chris Bonham Administrative, Director of  MCG  Neuroscience Center of Excellence,
  • All Algerian Employees at Al Jazeerah TV,
  • And of course Dr. Azzedine Stambouli and Elias for all their efforts in making these difficult cases possible.
  • Mr. Merzak who transported the family from Atlanta to Augusta and hosted them for one night. (Almost three hours drive).
  • Mr. Foudhil also served as the family interpreter.
  • Bernadette Ginested for being a big support of baby Abderrahmane.

The family wants to share some videos with our community and to express their gratitude for all the support given to them.
