Washington, DC. July 11, 2010. Well, the World Cup ended today with Spain winning by a score of 1-0 over The Netherlands. But we will still have the memories of this World Cup for a long time to come.
For us, South Africa will be remembered by Algeria's strong participation in the World Cup. Algeria proved to all that they did not qualify to the WC by mistake but by being the best team in their group in the African WC qualifiers. Algeria proved that they were not the worst team in the World Cup. In fact, they were among the best in the first round, fending off none other than England which was favored to win it all, and playing very tough against both Slovenia and USA. With a little luck, Algeria could have advanced. So to Belhadj, Yebda, and teammates, we say "Bravo! you did well". Thank you for making us proud.
To South Africa, we say thank you for being such great hosts. Thank you for organizing such a wonderful event. We will always remember this World Cup by the wonderfull stadiums some of which were built solely for this event. We will always remember WC2010 by the sound of the vuvuzelas that are still ringing in our ears.
To FIFA, we say thank you for organizing the biggest event in the world so we can enjoy it every 4 years.
Keep up the good work and we will see you in Brazil in 2014.
Maak ya alkhadra!
