ALGERIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF GREATER WASHINGTON

Algerian Women Technology Scientists

Members of the Algerian American Association of Greater Washington met with 4 of the 6 Algerian Women Technology Scientists on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Falls Church, Virginia. The Algerian Scientists were selected by the United States Department of State, TechWomen Initiative Program. The 6 Algerians are part of 40 highly skilled technology women selected from 500 Muslim Women candidates. The TechWomen program is a five-week training program on technology and leadership. Our guests shared their impression on what they saw, learned and experienced during the training in Silicon Valley and Washington DC. They thought the program was a life time opportunity which will impact their research practice in Algeria. They were briefed on AAAGW actions and projects. For additional information about the program, please visit www.techwomen.org.
