AAAGW Membership Committee Meeting
The Board of Directors (BOD) of Algerian-American Association of Greater Washington (AAAGW) would like to embark upon a restructuring process aimed at improving its image and increasing its membership. The stagnant membership numbers continue to be of a great concern to the BOD and with this meeting, we hope to address these challenges by providing a framework to define new directions and take strategic and bold actions.
To initiate this process, the BOD would like to invite all interested members for a brainstorming session. This meeting is aimed at identifying strategic actions needed to address these challenges by addressing the following questions:
- What are the main reasons of the stagnant membership levels?
- How to increase membership recruitment, retention, and participation?
- How to enrich the association’s image and develop better communication tools?
- How to increase the recruitment and participation of the youth?
This brainstorming session is only the beginning of a process which hopefully will lead to the definition of clearly prioritized actions to be implemented by the current and future Board of Directors.
